Business for Community

The  Community-Led Business Project was funded by Hartlepool Borough Council's Adult and Community Based Services Department and supported by a panel of community organisations, who were looking at finding new, creative ways to provide social care that enable people to thrive supported by their own communities, rather than be pushed towards more intensive and expensive care packages.

 

The aim of the project was to serve Hartlepool Borough Council’s “Community Led Support” initiative by developing and supporting new community-led businesses.

 

Each business had a community-led offer, which was the services offered by the business in response to what the community have asked for.

At it's peak the Business for Community project had over 40 participating businesses receiving support.
